Wolverhampton City Council
Wolverhampton City Council is the planning and transportation authority and promoter for the Interchange project. The council has been working for some time to address issues concerning the city’s transport infrastructure, in addition to addressing issues surrounding the rail station in its role as one of the city's principal entry points. The council has previously explored several options for the Interchange prior to selecting Neptune Developments Ltd as confirmed development partner.

Virgin Trains
Virgin trains has revolutionised rail travel, by creating a high speed, high frequency service that has cut journey times and made journeys more comfortable.
Virgin Pendolino trains run on services between London Euston and the West Midlands, North Wales, North West England and Scotland, running alongside Virgin Super Voyager trains on the North Wales route. Virgin Super Voyagers operate the route from Birmingham to Glasgow/Edinburgh.
Our trains travel at speeds of up to 125mph making your journey smooth, fast and enjoyable. What's more, our Pendolino trains emit 76% less CO2 than cars or domestic flights*.
We offer exciting onboard facilities including a specially designed self service shop, selling everything from fresh coffee and sandwiches to books and magazines; power points for charging mobile phones and laptops to at-seat audio entertainment.
Our onboard magazine, Hotline, is packed full of interesting articles and useful information. Customers can also relax and recuperate in our QuietZone carriage on both Pendolinos and Voyagers.
First Class is a stylish travel option offering an array of complimentary goodies including food and drinks, newspapers and headphones for the audio entertainment. Some of our peak time trains offer our Pendolino Primo service, with even faster journeys and an enhanced menu.
In addition to the onboard features, designated wheelchair and priority seating areas are available for mobility impaired customers, complete with audio system and panic alarm, as well as specially adapted toilets.
Cross Country
Covering around 1,600 route miles with almost 300 trains a day serving over 100 stations - stretching from Aberdeen to Penzance, and from Stansted to Cardiff - CrossCountry is the most extensive rail network in the UK. Our services combine routes that used to be part of Virgin CrossCountry along with the Cardiff-Birmingham-Nottingham, and Birmingham-Leicester-Stansted services previously operated by Central Trains.
Network Rail
Network Rail runs, maintains and develops Britain’s tracks, signalling system, rail bridges, tunnels, level crossings, viaducts and 17 key stations.
